IMD is widely recognized as the new standard for decoration of injection molded plastic products.
IMD allows the product designer to incorporate print quality colors and graphics into their plastic
molded products. It is a cost effective alternative to traditional secondary decorating processes
such as pad printing and painting.

A decorated film insert (applique) is placed in an injection mold and plastic is injected behind the
applique to form the finished part. The applique becomes an integrated part of the finished product,
eliminating the need for secondary tasks such as painting or pad printing. This exciting
advancement in the decorating process allows finished products to tolerate more wear and tear,
resist tampering and boast distinctive artwork.
