China Steel Chemical Corporation is the sole processor of coal tar, benzole, and coke breeze, developing as by-product in the process of making coke from coal by China Steel, the only integrated steel making company in Taiwan, having capacity of crude steel for 10 million-m.t./year. The Company was established in 1989, and was then listed in Taiwan stock market in 1998. Through continuing debottlenecking process, the Company has capacity of coal tar for 170000-m.t./year, benzole for 60000-m.t./year, and coke breeze for 250000-m.t/year.
